A man in his 50’s named Bernard Amoani recounted what really happened before he got slashed in the head.This incident happened in the Suhum Constituency of the Eastern.

Mr. Amoani said that he attended the funeral with a man called  Sammy  Darko. They arrived at almost 4:00 pm because they went for his in-law’s funeral at Ahwerase.He added that he was in a hurry to leave but after he heard that there will be “protozoas” from the presidency he stayed.As they were waiting for the “Protozoa” they went to greet the bereaved family.

He stated in an interview with Adom Fm’s Dwaso Nsem Show that the funeral was going on smoothly until Suhum Member of Parliament , Boafo Kwadwo Asante arrived.

“Am a polling station organizer at Asamankese, so as the order of the day has been we decided to escort the MP to greet as party communicators but were stopped because they said they didn’t know us.” he recalled.

Following this story Mr. Amoani said that one of their members went to tell that they want to leave.The supporters that not agreed to this situation and this led to a scuffle.

“When the fight broke out I I warned them to stop because  our opponents were present and could use this against us but no one listened to me.I tried to maintain order but suddenly someone slashed my forehead and blood started to ooze, I started running after the car but someone from the mourners got hold of me suddenly.

He added that he didn’t see anything until he was rushed to the Suhum Government Hospital where he was treated and discharged on Sunday.Another man named Alexander Odei sustained a minor injury on his upper lips.

“I was very sad and broken while laying on the hospital bed because the MP didn’t even show up and haven’t heard from him but his Protoazoa showed up twice. The fact that he is a party supporter, the MP should have showed up.”he sadly called
